Monday 9th February 2009 - Weather: rain, rain, rain, dull, rain, rain! GROAN!
Tut, tis always the way, today I had no work planned, the house is tidy, the snow has all but gone from these mean Essex streets, so I intended to spend the day on the allotment finishing plot number one, getting my paths sorted and planting my new strawberry plants, but oh no. Mother flipping nature has once again had her wicked way with me and it is raining. I did pop to the plot, as generally, a little rain doesn't bother me, but the ground on the site is waterlogged. Standing water everywhere, and my waterbutts are still frozen solid!! So, I turned tail and came home, miserable. However, trying to look on the bright side, this gives me the oppurtunity to sow some more seeds. So, rather than tell you nothing, I thought I would list the seeds I have sown so far.

love the site, how big is your allotment?
I have 2 plots and they are roughly 15 metres long and about 5 metres wide....but I am rubbish at measurements. :) They are plenty big enough for my current needs, but my dream is to have a polytunnel and even some chooks.
